Ten of the Biggest Names in Country Music History to Be Honored

LAS VEGAS, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Country music legend Buck Owens announced today that a special unveiling ceremony of the BUCK OWENS' LEGENDS IN BRONZE will take place Wednesday, May 25 at the Buck Owens' Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, California. The first-ever recipients include Hank Williams, Jr., Bob Willis, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, George Jones, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, George Strait and Garth Brooks. The larger-than- life bronze statues, created by Bill Rains, are life-like replicas of the artist.

WHAT: A special unveiling of the first-ever BUCK OWENS' LEGENDS IN BRONZE will take place Wednesday, May 25. Buck Owens will unveil the statues at that time.

MORE: Legendary country music artist Buck Owens is best known for his trademark twisted-note style on his solid body Fender Telecaster. He has been elected to both the Country Music Hall of Fame as well as the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 1996, Owens opened his opulent Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, California where he still performs regularly.

NOTE: Buck Owens received the NIGHTCLUB OF THE YEAR AWARD from the Academy of Country Music for his Buck Owens' Crystal Palace. Bob Romeo from the Academy of Country Music presented the award to Buck during the press announcement.
