LOS ANGELES, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Helinet Aviation Services, a best-in-class provider of electronic news gathering (ENG) helicopter flight services, wowed attendees on the floor of NAB2005 today with a live, aerial HD broadcast from high above the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam to the floor of NAB2005. The company will provide an encore demonstration at its booth on Thursday, April 21 to close out the show.

Broadcasting at a distance of over eighty miles from the helicopter to a receive site at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Helinet's HD solution offers the longest range of any aerial high definition system. Using 2-way radio communications directly from the show floor to the helicopter, booth visitors were able to literally direct the shots being displayed of the Grand Canyon.

Helinet is the only ENG operator currently flying live HD news helicopters and also one of the country's largest ENG providers overall with more than 27 contracts in cities across the United States. The Helinet aerial HD solution consists of a Helinet helicopter featuring the Cineflex V14 HiDEF gyrostabilized camera system, a Troll Systems C-100 Pegasus HD microwave antenna pod system and the MRC Strata COFDM transmitter.
