Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK to Host 3rd Annual `DeBella Dog Walk' at Fairmount Park Sunday, May 1st
PHILADELPHIA, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK (102.9 FM / Philadelphia) will host the 3rd Annual WMGK "DeBella Dog Walk" on Sunday, May 1, 2005 behind Memorial Hall - 4231 N. Concourse Drive in Fairmount Park from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. WMGK's "DeBella Dog Walk" will be a dog appreciation day and fair where dog owners can learn about rescue groups, adoption programs, animal shelters, health issues, microchip identification, training demonstrations, and fun events like agility demos and even a stupid pet trick contest. WMGK will take over the field behind Memorial Hall and transform it into a canine paradise complete with doggie watering stations, training seminars and even a mobile pet hospital provided by the Animal Welfare Association. The WMGK "DeBella Dog Walk" is free and open to the public with plenty of free parking and will feature various pet-related activities, charities and informational organizations.
Participating groups in this year's WMGK "DeBella Dog Walk" will include: Adopt a Boxer Rescue, Greyhound Angels Adoption, PA SPCA, Tails of Tundra Siberian Husky Rescue, Philadelphia Animal Care and Control Association, Aussie Rescue and Placement, Greyhound Friends of New Jersey, Golden Retriever Adoption, West Jersey Volunteers for Animals, Italian Greyhound Club of America, Animal Coalition of Delaware County, Beagle Rescue, Education and Welfare, Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue, Camden County Animal Shelter, The Spayed Club, Roger's Rescue, Pointer Rescue, Irish Setter Rescue of New Jersey, National Greyhound Adoption Program, Animal Welfare Association and Proper Paws Training.
The 3rd Annual WMGK "DeBella Dog Walk" will provide pet owners and potential pet owners with vital information on their pet's healthcare and happiness. Past years' attendance have far surpassed over 1,000 people each year with the expectation of 2005 being the largest to date.
