WEGENER Receives $1,000,000+ Order for iPUMP Solution From Ascent Media Systems & Technology Services
DULUTH, Ga., March 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wegener Corporation (NASDAQ:WGNR), a leading provider of television, audio and data distribution networks worldwide, today announced an order valued at well over $1 million from Ascent Media Systems and Technology Services for the WEGENER iPump(R) Solution. The iPump Solution includes WEGENER's: iPump Media Servers, MediaPlan(R) Asset Management System, Compel(R) Control and Encryption System, and Unity(R) Satellite Receivers.
The contract provides equipment to convert a television distribution network from analog to digital and upgrade the network's capabilities with the store & forward technology of the iPump Media Servers. Schools, museums and other educational locations can receive supplemental data with the video broadcasts to enhance public education material.
