New CD Release: Kenny White's Symphony in 16 Bars
'Kenny has what I think is so rare these days ... a truly original and compelling songwriting voice, which is perfectly complemented by his singing voice and his piano playing ... Symphony in 16 Bars is... a beautiful, literate and soulful record.' Marc Cohn
NEW YORK, March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- On March 8, 2005, Wildflower Records is pleased to announce the much anticipated follow-up release from Kenny White, Symphony In 16 Bars. This release picks up thematically where his debut album, Uninvited Guest, left off. Like a Woody Allen film, set in New York City, the main character explores the paths of the heart and soul while trying to navigate his way through the complexities of love within a changing landscape. Steeped in the musical legacy of White's long time professional career as a producer (produced, "I Don't Know Why" from Shawn Colvin's Grammy nominated album Fat City) and studio musician, the story features musical cameos from artists such as Marc Cohn, Amy Helm and Al Andersen and A-List players, Larry Campbell (Bob Dylan - guitar), Shawn Pelton (SNL, Sheryl Crow - drums), Larry Saltzman (Simon and Garfunkel - guitars) to name a few.
