Jesse James and Discovery Channel's MONSTER GARAGE Team Exceed Expectations as Tricked-Out Sports Car Takes Flight

Discovery Channel's MONSTER GARAGE host Jesse James successfully tested his latest creation -- a car to fly as the Wright Brothers did many years before -- at the birthplace of flight, Kitty Hawk, N.C., last Friday. Jesse James was traveling 80 mph when the car lifted off.

In just five days, Jesse and his team of flying fanatics and mechanical masters turned a Panoz sports car into a flying machine. Originally, designed to handle the high-speeds and quick turns of the American Le Mans Racing Series, this tricked-out sports car defied its physical limits.

This special two-part season finale of the Monster Garage Flying Car episode airs Monday, June 6 and Monday, June 13 from 9-10 PM (ET/PT).
