LOS ANGELES, Califonia, February 28/PRNewswire/ -- Giorgio Armani dressed selected nominees, presenters and guests at the "76th Annual Academy Awards." The show took place on Sunday evening, February 27, 2005, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, and was telecast live on ABC beginning 5:00pm PST/8:00pm EST.

Annette Bening, who is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for "Being Julia," chose a black jersey long sleeve portrait neckline Giorgio Armani Prive evening gown. The fitted bodice leads into an hourglass silhouette, ending with a fishtail train.

Beyonce Knowles selected a Giorgio Armani Prive diamante strapless evening gown featuring a mesh of luminous blue crystals that silhouette a floral motif. The dress, which she wore for a performance at the ceremony, was accented with a hemline that explodes into a tulle and organza underskirt.

Leonardo Di Caprio, nominated for Best Actor in a leading role for "The Aviator," was expected to wear a Giorgio Armani two-button shawl lapel tuxedo in silk and wool.

Clint Eastwood, a multi-nominee for Achievement for Directing category and for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for "Million Dollar Baby," selected a Giorgio Armani one-button classic black tuxedo with grosgrain peak lapels. He wore a white spread collar evening shirt with an emerald green bow tie, to reflect the Irish theme of his movie.

Clive Owen, who is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for "Closer," chose a one-button Giorgio Armani tuxedo with satin peak lapels with a classic white evening shirt and velvet necktie.

Martin Scorsese, nominated in the Achievement for Directing category for "The Aviator" selected a Giorgio Armani two-button tuxedo with satin peak lapels. He wore a wing collar evening shirt and white bowtie.

Presenter Sean Penn chose a three-button Giorgio Armani tuxedo with notched grosgrain lapels and a classic wing-collar evening shirt with a grosgrain bowtie.

Al Pacino, who presented an honorary Oscar to Sidney Lumet, wore a two-button Giorgio Armani tuxedo with satin peak lapels and a classic spread collar evening shirt with a black satin necktie.

Presenter Sam Jackson wore a Giorgio Armani stretch wool tuxedo with a grosgrain covered placket and rolled collar.

Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows, nominated in the Best Original Song category for "Accidentally in Love" from the movie "Shrek 2," wore a Giorgio Armani two-button navy suit with peak lapels.

Presenter John Travolta selected a Giorgio Armani black three-button classic suit with a white point collar shirt and black silk necktie.

Attendee Jeremy Irons selected a vintage Giorgio Armani tunic style, knee-length black tuxedo with a satin Nehru collar.

Vin Diesel selected to wear a one button Giorgio Armani tuxedo with peak lapels.
