TRUSTe Appoints Key Corporate Privacy Executives to Board of Directors Executives With AOL and Intuit to Provide Strategic Guidance on Ensuing Privacy Issues SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- TRUSTe, the leading online privacy non-profit organization, today announced two new additions to its board of directors, Tatiana Platt, chief trust officer and senior vice president for America Online, Inc. and Camille Busette, group manager of the corporate privacy team for Intuit, Inc. Richard Purcell, founder of Corporate Privacy Group, was appointed to the role of chairman of the board succeeding Christine Varney, partner at Hogan & Hartson and former Federal Trade Commissioner. The quality of the board member additions demonstrates TRUSTe's growing influence in public policy and its commitment to building upon an established framework of trust. The new board members bring fresh industry experience that will further TRUSTe's privacy initiatives as the organization prepares for its next phase of growth. She has spearheaded initiatives to ensure AOL-owned Web sites include updated privacy and safety elements.
