Neenah Paper and Pomco Graphic Arts Selected to Create Presidential Inaugural Invitations

Neenah Paper and Pomco Graphic Arts Selected to Create Presidential Inaugural Invitations Companies Help Nation to `Celebrate Freedom and Honor Service' ALPHARETTA, Ga., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Neenah Paper, a leading manufacturer of premium uncoated writing, text and cover papers, and Pomco Graphic Arts of Philadelphia, one of the largest manufacturers of corporate image on the East Coast, were selected to create the invitation package for the 2005 Presidential Inauguration. The inaugural theme was "Celebrating Freedom, Honoring Service." The package included invitations, program books, photos and maps to viewing sites for the ceremonies, which were printed by Pomco Graphic Arts using CLASSIC(R) Linen Paper. "We are extremely honored to be part of the inauguration," said Celena L. Evans, Brand Manager for Neenah Paper. "This distinction comes around only once every four years. We are proud to say this is not the first time our papers have been selected for inaugural invitations." The invitations were designed using CLASSIC(R) Linen Papers, 80 lb. Cover weight, Classic Natural White. They were engraved with black and gold ink, then burnished embossed over the gold ink, a raised relief technique to enhance the detail and shine. "When we showed the invitations to our client, they were absolutely ecstatic," said Stuart Slater, Vice President of Pomco Graphic Arts. "The package turned out beautifully. All of us worked with such pride knowing we were associated with such a prestigious task." The stitched program books were designed using CLASSIC(R) Linen Paper, 80 lb. Text weight. Photos and sketches of key scenes, from Abraham Lincoln's second inauguration in 1865 to Ronald Reagan's ceremony, appear throughout the book. Maps and photos of President Bush and Vice President Cheney were produced using 80 lb. Cover paper. The excellent ink hold out of the paper, its substantial feel and excellent formation resulted in images that reproduced beautifully. In addition, the photos were printed stochastically, which creates a clearer, higher resolution. CLASSIC(R) Linen Papers CLASSIC(R) Linen Papers possess an understated elegance that makes them a business communications essential. Their delicately embossed finish is like finely woven linen cloth. They come in an extensive palette of colors suitable for corporate and social occasions. All CLASSIC(R) Linen Papers are archival. The brand features 14 recycled colors, which contain 60 percent recycled fibers, including a minimum of 30 percent post-consumer material.
