Buryl Red, Executive Producer of Silver Burdett's Music Programs, Nominated for Grammy UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Buryl Red, the celebrated composer, arranger, conductor, and music educator, and executive producer of publisher Silver Burdett's highly regarded educational music programs, has been nominated for a Grammy Award. His nomination -- along with Joseph Joubert and Michael McElroy -- is in the category of Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s) for his work on Joy to the World from the album, Great Joy, A Gospel Christmas. Red's work with Silver Burdett, an imprint of Pearson Scott Foresman, includes supervising production of recordings for The Music Connection series, a collection of songs, listening selections, poetry, and instrumental arrangements for elementary/middle schools; the Silver Burdett Making Music, a new K-8 music program through which students develop practical musical skills and connect to styles, cultures and other disciplines; as well as many supplemental recording projects.
