Virgin Digital Available in the Form of Prepaid Cards in Drug Stores Nationwide Coinstar Subsidiary CellCards to Distribute Prepaid Virgin Digital Cards LOS ANGELES, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Virgin Digital, the digital entertainment platform of the Virgin Group, today announced a licensing agreement with CellCards of Illinois, LLC, a subsidiary of Coinstar, Inc., to distribute prepaid Virgin Digital cards through its participating retail locations. Under the terms of the agreement, Coinstar, Inc. will have a license to promote, market, distribute and sell music download cards to consumers through its national retail distribution network. The prepaid Virgin Digital cards will be available in up to 5,500 CVS/pharmacy drug stores across the United States by the end of December 2004. In addition, CellCards will be marketing Virgin Digital to Coinstar's nationwide network of electronic payment retailers. Virgin Digital Music Download Cards are redeemed through Virgin Digital's current gift card redemption system imbedded in the Virgin Digital Multimedia Player. Cards will be available in increments of $14.85, which is equal to 15 song downloads through the Virgin Digital Megastore. Upon purchase, consumers receive a redemption code printed on their receipt to be used for downloads. After initial purchase, consumers can return to participating retailers to have additional value applied to their card.
